Charge Place Scotland is the Scottish Government's public charging network, operated by SWARCO, with thousands of charge points across Scotland. The network covers urban centres, rural communities, and remote areas that commercial operators typically don't reach at scale. Charging was free until 2024, when tariffs were introduced, with pricing set by individual local authorities.
